Red paint with swirl marks on the left and corrected paint on the right

What's included

Full decontamination first
Hand wash, iron dissolver, tar removal, and clay. Correcting paint that still has contamination bonded to it just grinds that grit into the clear coat.
Paint inspection under proper lighting
Defects get assessed under dedicated lighting that shows what daylight hides, so we know what we are actually dealing with before a machine touches it.
Multi-stage compound and polish
A cutting stage to remove defects, then refining stages to bring the finish back to full clarity. How many stages depends on the paint.
Ceramic coating applied by hand
A true coating that chemically bonds to the clear coat, applied panel by panel and leveled by hand. Measured in years, not the months you get from a spray sealant.
Trim, glass, and wheels as needed
Coating can extend to exterior glass and wheel faces so the whole vehicle sheds water and cleans up easily, not just the painted panels.

Our highest-end work

Paint Correction & Ceramic Coating

Look at a dark-colored car in direct sun and you will see a spiderweb of fine circular scratches. That is swirl marking, put there by automatic washes and dirty towels, and it is the reason paint looks dull even when the car is clean.

Correction removes it for real. We machine-level the clear coat in stages until the defects are physically gone, rather than filling them with a glaze that washes out in a month. Then a ceramic coating locks the result in.

What we will tell you straight

Not every scratch comes out. Correction works inside the clear coat, so if a scratch has gone through to the paint or primer there is nothing left to level and no amount of polishing brings it back. We tell you which is which before we start, not after.

How it goes

The process

  1. Assessment and quote

We see the vehicle in person, look at the paint under lighting, and give you a real number and a realistic description of what will and will not come out.

  2. Wash and decontaminate

Full hand wash, iron and tar removal, clay bar, and a complete dry. Nothing is left on the surface before correction starts.

  3. Correct

Compounding to remove defects, then refinement passes to restore gloss and clarity. This is the part that takes the day.

  4. Prep and coat

Panels are wiped down to strip any polishing oils, so the coating bonds to bare clear coat, then the coating goes on by hand and is leveled panel by panel.

  5. Cure and hand back

The coating needs time to harden. We tell you exactly how long to keep it dry and how to wash it going forward so it lasts.

Questions about paint correction & ceramic

How long does a ceramic coating last?

Years rather than months, depending on the coating, how the vehicle is stored and how it gets washed. We tell you what to expect for your vehicle when we quote it, and how to wash it so you get that lifespan.

Will this remove every scratch?

No, and be skeptical of anyone who says otherwise. Correction works inside the clear coat. If a scratch has gone through to the paint or primer there is nothing left to level, and we tell you which is which before we start.

Why is it so much more than a regular detail?

A full day or more of skilled machine work on your clear coat, plus a coating that costs real money, and it is not reversible if done badly. You are paying for the time and the judgment about how much clear coat can safely come off.

Can I still go through a car wash afterward?

You can, but a brush wash puts swirls straight back in and wastes what you paid for. Touchless is acceptable, hand washing with clean media is much better, and we will show you how.
